NMV Celebrate 65 Years in Business

Nybergs Mekaniska Verkstad was founded in 1947 in Kiruna by Johan Edvard Nyberg. Nyberg was a versatile innovator who during his career showed great creativity and personal leadership. After humble beginnings in a garage on Hermelinsgatan, through innovative and technical skill Nybergs Mekaniska soon developed into an attractive supplier to the increasingly technologically advanced industry.

Today Nybergs Mekaniska Verkstad is a modern engineering company with broad expertise. We have about 70 employees and an annual turnover of over SEK 150 million. As we celebrate our anniversary, we want to thank our employees, customers, suppliers, sponsors and partners who have been with us on a large or small scale during our first 65 years. We have grown and developed through our collaborations. The anniversary should not only celebrate our history but also be a milestone in our path towards new and continuing partnerships, and towards development, growth and the future.

Ever since the company was founded, we have had an unwritten rule that still applies today: All customers should be welcomed and treated equally, whether they represent private individuals or large corporations.

Nybergs Mekaniska continues to evolve and is today the main company in the so-called NMV Group, where Kiruna Wagon, Malmfälten AB, Galvteknik i Norr, Kiruna Utility Vehicles, Bilfirma Dahlberg & Roos, and real estate company Turris are included. These companies, which are owned wholly or partly by Nybergs Mekaniska, together employ about 160 people and have a turnover of nearly SEK 400 million.
